Another soul dies, RIP Nirbhaya, India’s daughter, The Braveheart

I had to write these words today as my heart has been too full of emotion. I hope you will spare a few minutes to read what I have written.
Please keep these candles burning for Nirbhaya ( fearless ) “India’s daughter”, “the Braveheart”…Share if you Care!
What is the value of a life? India mourns the death of a 23 year old medical student who died recently after being gang-raped, beaten and brutalised by 6 men in a moving bus.
In a way I am glad that poor girl died. Could she have lived after such a heinous crime was done to her? Imagine having to live with that fear and trauma every day. She was bruised mentally and physically beyond repair.
What now? Is she going to remain in the minds of some people only as another sacrificial lamb?
What would have made those 6 men rape her so brutally and inhumanly?
Even animals don’t resort to such inhumanity amongst themselves.
Men really need to be taught respect for women and children in general.
In India specifically, women are looked on as inferior beings as compared to a man.
If a man is indeed “better” than a woman, is this what the exalted status brings?
Parents need to teach their children better.
The right value systems need to be instilled. Schools need to take on some of this responsibility as well as the parents.
This is not just for India. The world needs A Revolution, A Reform, A Change!
And it has to start at home!!!
Men have to treat their women better so that children learn from what they see.
Is our world going to continue standing by? And we call ourselves evolved human beings?
A huge reform is needed, mass awareness is required, respect for each human being, beyond colour, beyond sex, beyond race. Can we do this???????
